Be creative, be silly, be original! This little critter will have to live with this name for a long time, so give it a name to fit it's quirky character.
Contest ends May 31st! Meeeeeoooooooow...

Splat! the Cat
(I'm a dog person, myself. LOL)
now see... I knew I loved Kristin! =)
How fun! The first name that came to mind was Sigmund! Don't ask me why...but how about:
Smudge
Oh, can we leave more than one suggestion? Maybe I'll come back with more!
She's looks so sweet and wiley at the same time. I like the name "Joey" for her :-)
LOL! Kristin, you're funny.
Eww, great suggestions already! Keep 'em coming! Comment as often as you want with as many ideas as you want!
There will be a voting button at the top of the sidebar for the entire month. :-)
Stay tuned!
socrities looks like an intelegent cat to me
(camy Tang sent me from her blog)
Licorice!
How about "Spook."
Or, "Lady."
How about Azrael?
Baxter OR Fillmore (if it's a boy)
For girls:
Ali Cat OR Caddie Cat
Okay ... how about Graphi Cat or Venti.
It HAS to be a girl if you follow the logic of the blog name. Then she's a Chick Kit.
Okay, back to work. :D
I had to have my 20 year old Siamese cat, Damian, put to sleep last year. I am still extremely depressed. He was my everything and I'd be honored if you named the kitty after him. Thanks.
Christy Hawkes sent me to your blog.

How about Inkling (like C.S. Lewis) :D. What a cute kitty.
Hugs,
Pammer
what about blackjack?
Wow, you guys are gooooooooood! Love these ideas! This is going to be a tough choice. :-)
Ane, you crack me up.
Awww, meljprincess. I'm so sorry for your loss. We lost one last September (14 years old) and may lose another to cancer. They become such a precious part of your family, don't they?
OK cat lover... I think your cat is Precious but, contrary to our
spiritual beliefs, the name SPOOK
came to me right away...but let me try and explain(without a long story).
My spouse(you kinda know from SUM)is not a Trinity believer, and so He refers to my belief in the Holy Spirit as "Spook"...now laugh, cuz he does not understand Spiritual warfare or anything related to Howloween ...so it has nothing to do with that. Fantasmas are not part of this word...it includes only Spirit...Now, you wonder why that came to my mind...on a day of prayer and fasting, well...it's because I asked him to write a comment for one of my blogs, and though it was not published..he mentioned how I always talk about Spook!!! So God be with us and even Spook to see us through this sense of humor. You have many more options and this is just starting but I couldn't help but share that's what came to me...that seemed Purrrrrrrrrrrrrfect ly Precious! Love, Peggy
I purposefully did not read any comments above and was just going through them and saw that someone actaully did give that one but also Lady. Well, I can't win cuz I'm not in USA but that's so weird to go back and see someone else got that. I read Splat from another dog lover like me and that isn't loving but it made me laugh.
And Smudge sounded just like that!
Cute names...I don't know how you're gonna pick after a month of these!!!
Oh, how fun. I'd love to win Starbucks and books. Hey, they both go hand in hand. Drink coffee , read books. I like it.
How about Chegg (pronounced Keg) the cat.
Dineen,

I've named dozens of cats (I take care of ferals/strays besides my inside cats).
Pita is my favorite name because it stands for Pain in the @ss lol.
I vote for Josie. Like Josie and the pussy cats.
I cannot believe I am voting on the name of a cat!!
I will email you back soon, so much to fill you in on.

We have 4 farm cats.
Definitely she's Selah the Cat.
I would have to say Midnight.
Catslady, you have me rolling on the floor. LOL!
You guys have great suggestions! Oh this is gonna be hard. :-)
My dad is Creston Mapes and I loved looking at all the names!!
If it's a girl: Devin, Shelly (like the title-eggs/shell!:), Hally (like halloween and black cats)....
THEN for a boy:Whiskers
Thanks!
Wow! I don't even have time to read all these. WAH! But--in my sleep deprived state--I thought designer-related names would fit:
PIXEL
GRAFIK
ZOOM
HUE
:-D
Tell your dad thanks for sending you over! Very cool!
Ronie, what an ingenious direction...you know me well. ;-)
How about Spanky? (You know, the kid from The Little Rascals...)
Or maybe Alfalfa--he does have a few hairs sticking up from his head. :)
Thank you, Dineen. I'm sorry for your loss as well. Cats are such wonderful creatures. My boy has been gone for 6 months now and I am still suffering. Sometimes I just feel I can't live without him. :-(

Jasmine, that's what I would name her... :)
Dee
Okay,
I just had to stop back in here to see what names were posted. You have fantastic and witty friends girl. I laughed my head off.
What fun it would be to get together with all these people. Would we laugh or what??
Too much fun!
You have such a cute theme!
How about Jet (as in Jet black)?
Blessings,
Carla
Here's another one . . .
Spoof
Eww, great suggestions, Carla! And thanks for stopping by. :-)
Very cute names. I don't envy you haveing to choose. Here are mine:
Cookie
Panda
Typo
Bear
Flyer
What fun!!
Ew, typo appeals to my designer side. LOL! Great suggestions, Jess!
So many great choices! This is going to be a challenge. :-)
How about Spaz!
Too, too fun!
Chickitten
Crack
Mowzer
Dineen:
I'm posting for my friend Sherri. She's tried several times to leave a comment with her suggestion for a name, but her "dinosaur computer" - her words, not mine - freezes up every time. So she asked me to leave an entry for her.
Sherri's suggestion is:
Eggplant (with the nickname of Eggy, in keeping with the name of your blog)

Looks like a Leroy to me.
Kristen, stay away from my cat.
I like Kohl. It's got double meaning to me. The cat is very mischievous looking and the Hawaiian word for rascal is Kolohe so Kohl would be a nickname. The cat is also black and kohl was used as black eye liner in days gone by.
My two cents!
How about Lazarus? Kittens are from eggs and miracles are from God and Lazarus burst out of a protective shell to showcase one of the greatest miracles of all times. Plus, Lazarus is a great name!
