CONTEST ENDS MAY 31st

Kittens Come From Eggs has a whole new look! And now you get to be part of the fun. This little guy (or gal!) needs a name. Leave as many comments as you want with name suggestions. The one who comes up with the name I like will receive a Starbucks gift card and a gift pack of 7 books to include:

The Watchers by Mark Andrew Olsen
The Restorer's Son by Sharon Hinck
Demon: A Memoir by Tosca Lee (signed)
Embrace Grace by Lizz Curtis Higgs
Generation Next Parenting by Tricia Goyer
Reclaiming Nick by Susan May Warren
Only Uni by Camy Tang

Now here's the plus. Send a friend over with his or her suggestions, and if he or she wins, you get a gift too! Just be sure they mention who sent them.

Be creative, be silly, be original! This little critter will have to live with this name for a long time, so give it a name to fit it's quirky character.

Contest ends May 31st! Meeeeeoooooooow...

Baxter OR Fillmore (if it's a boy)
For girls:
Ali Cat OR Caddie Cat

Southern-fried Fiction said...

Okay ... how about Graphi Cat or Venti.

It HAS to be a girl if you follow the logic of the blog name. Then she's a Chick Kit.

Okay, back to work. :D

I had to have my 20 year old Siamese cat, Damian, put to sleep last year. I am still extremely depressed. He was my everything and I'd be honored if you named the kitty after him. Thanks.

Christy Hawkes sent me to your blog.

Awww, meljprincess. I'm so sorry for your loss. We lost one last September (14 years old) and may lose another to cancer. They become such a precious part of your family, don't they?

OK cat lover... I think your cat is Precious but, contrary to our
spiritual beliefs, the name SPOOK
came to me right away...but let me try and explain(without a long story).

My spouse(you kinda know from SUM)is not a Trinity believer, and so He refers to my belief in the Holy Spirit as "Spook"...now laugh, cuz he does not understand Spiritual warfare or anything related to Howloween ...so it has nothing to do with that. Fantasmas are not part of this word...it includes only Spirit...Now, you wonder why that came to my mind...on a day of prayer and fasting, well...it's because I asked him to write a comment for one of my blogs, and though it was not published..he mentioned how I always talk about Spook!!! So God be with us and even Spook to see us through this sense of humor. You have many more options and this is just starting but I couldn't help but share that's what came to me...that seemed Purrrrrrrrrrrrrfect ly Precious! Love, Peggy

I purposefully did not read any comments above and was just going through them and saw that someone actaully did give that one but also Lady. Well, I can't win cuz I'm not in USA but that's so weird to go back and see someone else got that. I read Splat from another dog lover like me and that isn't loving but it made me laugh.
And Smudge sounded just like that!
Cute names...I don't know how you're gonna pick after a month of these!!!

I'm posting for my friend Sherri. She's tried several times to leave a comment with her suggestion for a name, but her "dinosaur computer" - her words, not mine - freezes up every time. So she asked me to leave an entry for her.

Sherri's suggestion is:

Eggplant (with the nickname of Eggy, in keeping with the name of your blog)

Looks like a Leroy to me.

Kristen, stay away from my cat.

Malia Spencer said...

I like Kohl. It's got double meaning to me. The cat is very mischievous looking and the Hawaiian word for rascal is Kolohe so Kohl would be a nickname. The cat is also black and kohl was used as black eye liner in days gone by.

My two cents!

How about Lazarus? Kittens are from eggs and miracles are from God and Lazarus burst out of a protective shell to showcase one of the greatest miracles of all times. Plus, Lazarus is a great name!
